Help, I'm confused about breast self examination. I have heard there is no point in doing this as we wouldn't be able to detect anything even if there was something developing?  

It is definitely worth checking your body for any unwelcome changes! It seems there has been some confusion regarding the correct or best way to examine ones breasts, but thoroughly checking by generally feeling around the whole of the breast structure will be a valuable aid to detecting any changes, lumps or general soreness which is out of character.
